Quotes for Selected Themes

The hearer and the reader of my lectures should constantly work within himself, laying probes and building bridges from one lecture to the other, as well as out into the great and small world-happening! Only then will he be able to understand the Grail Message, and will find that with time It forms into one perfect whole without leaving any gaps.

Lecture: The creature man

… your thoughts are the messengers that you send out, which return heavily laden with what you had thought, be it good or evil. It happens! Bear in mind that your thoughts are things which form themselves spiritually, often becoming forms outliving the earth-life of your body; then much will become clear to you.

This is also why it is quite rightly said: “For their works do follow them!” Thought-creations are works that will one day await you! Which form luminous or dark rings around you, through which you must journey in order to penetrate into the world of the spirit. No protection, no intervention can help in this, because you have self-determination. The first step towards anything must therefore be taken by you. It is not difficult, it lies only in the volition which manifests through thoughts. Thus you carry heaven as well as hell within yourselves.

Lecture: Awake!

The words you form, the sentences, fashion your outward destiny on this earth. They are like seed in a garden which you are cultivating around you; for every human word is part of the most living of things that you can produce for yourselves in this Creation.

Lecture: The human word

… “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap many times over!”

These few words hold and convey much more than many a person thinks. They correspond meticulously and precisely to the real process of the reciprocal action resting in Creation. No more apt expression could be found for it. Just as the harvest yields multiples of a seed, so the human being always receives in return greatly multiplied what he awakens and sends out in his own intuitive perceptions, each according to the nature of his volition.

Thus man bears spiritually the responsibility for everything he does. This responsibility begins already with the decision, not just with the accomplished deed, which is, after all, merely a consequence of the decision. And the decision is the awakening of an earnest volition!

Lecture: Responsibility

Men speak of deserved and undeserved fate, of reward and punishment, retribution and karma.

All those are only part-designations of a Law resting in Creation: The Law of Reciprocal Action!

A Law that has lain in the entire Creation from its very beginning, that was inextricably woven into the great, never-ending coming-into-being as an essential part of the creating itself and of development. Like a gigantic system of the finest nerve strands, it supports and enlivens the immense universe and promotes continuous movement, an eternal giving and taking!

Simply and plainly, and yet so aptly, Christ Jesus has already stated: “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap!”

Lecture: Fate

There is hardly any other event which, given its inevitability, is time and again so pushed aside in people’s thoughts as death. But also hardly so significant a process in earthly life, apart from birth. It is indeed striking that man wants to occupy himself so little precisely with the beginning and the end of his existence on earth, whereas he tries to ascribe a deep significance to all other things that happen, even to quite trivial matters.

Lecture: Death

The process of death itself is nothing else but birth into the ethereal world, similar to the process of birth into the gross-material world.
